Trail Break privacy policy
Last updated 26 October 2026
Trail Break is a calm mountain-biking app for short breaks. It's made by Wye Trail Games ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information about you.
In short: Trail Break keeps everything on your device. We don't collect, store or share any personal information, and we don't track you.
What stays on your device
To work, the app saves a few things on your phone or tablet:
- Your settings, such as ride mode, controls, comfort, sound and accessibility choices.
- Your ride log: minutes ridden, number of rides, trails visited and your last 20 rides.
- Your personal bests in Challenge mode.
- Photos you take in Photo Mode, held briefly so you can share them.
This information never leaves your device unless you choose to share something (see "Sharing" below). We can't see it. Your device's own backup service, such as iCloud Backup or Google backup, may include it in your backups, under Apple's or Google's terms.
What we don't collect
- No account, name, email address or contact details.
- No location.
- No analytics, usage tracking or advertising identifiers.
- No ads and no third-party tracking or advertising software.
- No information sent to us or to anyone else when you ride.
Motion sensors, touch and haptics
If you choose tilt steering, the app reads your device's motion sensor to steer the bike. This happens on your device, only while the app is open, and the readings are never stored or sent anywhere. The same goes for touch gestures and vibration (haptics).
Purchases
The Full Trail Pass is bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles your payment and payment details. We never receive them. We only learn from the store whether your device has the pass, so we can unlock it. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover purchases.
Sharing
If you tap Capture in Photo Mode, or Share your score, the app opens your device's standard share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you choose where it goes. If you choose to save a photo to your library, the app asks for permission to add it there. Once shared, the photo or text is handled by the app or service you chose.
App crash reports and store statistics
Apple and Google may give us anonymous, combined statistics, such as downloads, sessions and crash reports. They only include people who have agreed, in their device settings, to share this with app developers. These statistics don't identify you.
Children
Trail Break is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Go to Settings › About › Reset all data to erase your settings, ride log and bests. Deleting the app also removes everything it stored.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law (UK GDPR and EU GDPR) you have rights over personal information held about you. We don't hold any personal information about you. If you have a question, contact us and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever starts collecting any information, for example optional anonymous usage statistics, we'll update this policy first. We'll also ask for your permission in the app before anything is shared. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
